BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour

Certification premium - $1.25/hour

Evening shift premium - $2.50/hour

Weekend premium - $4.00/hour

UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Part Time, Mid Shift Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedic/Neurosurgery Unit . This is a unique nursing position that will focus on admission-discharge-transfer (ADT) rates and patient throughput.
WORK SCHEDULE

2x12 shift schedule

Mid shifts (10:00am-10:30pm)
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

We are a 36-bed unit supporting low acuity telemetry patients, general medical patients, and orthopedic surgery patients

Common surgical procedures on our floor include knee, hip, and joint replacements, calcified bone treatments, neck surgeries, and laminectomies

We consistently hold 1:4 and 1:5 nurse to patient ratios

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and facilitate patient flow into and out of our surgical floor

Oversee admissions from PACU

Oversee discharges and transfers to less acute hospital units

When needed, provide post-op and telemetry support to patients on the floor

Accurately document patient care outcomes in Epic
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience

BLS

Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
