Job Description

Delivering the best Spotify experience possible. To as many people as possible. In as many moments as possible. That’s what the Experience team is all about. We use our deep understanding of consumer expectations to enrich the lives of millions of our users all over the world, bringing the music and audio they love to the devices, apps and platforms they use every day. Know what our users want? Join us and help Spotify give it to them. Our team is on a mission to build balanced growth via off platform experiences, activating users at scale through the combined distribution power of our domain partners’ ecosystems. As a member of our team, you will become a guide in our Android partner integrations: a diverse range of APIs, SDKs and other systems that power integrations with apps such as Samsung Clock, Google Maps, Waze, and many others. You will work with our Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) device partners all around the world and work with them to integrate the Spotify experience into their devices.

What You'll Do

    • Drive partner specific projects where we will enable the Spotify experience for millions of users around the world
    • Support our partners’ development teams using our APIs and SDKs to build integrations that are scalable and robust
    • Chip in to the development of our standard Android SDKs
    • Unblock internal and external teams by determining dependencies, assessing technical risks and clarifying uncertainty
    • Ensure that our partner solutions are reusable and take into account larger strategic concerns
    • Ensure that the Spotify experience we ship with our partners is of high quality and continuously improves
    • Develop effective communication strategies based on partner and Spotify needs and work with the community of Partner Engineers to continuously improve standards, strategies, and frameworks

Who You Are

    • You’ve worked closely with partners and are an excellent communicator across different cultures and different domains (product, business, engineering, design, etc.)
    • You have experience with Android development, and have a good understanding of the Android APIs, particularly the ones related to media apps like Spotify
    • You have experience working in Software Engineering in an agile environment, so you can understand and explain our diverse set of APIs, SDKs and systems to our partners
    • You can recognize operational processes that need improvement and you have the drive to improve them
    • You become comfortable with flexible working hours to accommodate video calls in different time zones
    • You are able to travel on occasion to visit partners
    • If you have Chinese language skills (Mandarin) it is a huge plus

Where You'll Be

    • We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them
    • Where in the world? For this role, you can be based in either the Singapore or Taiwan office
    • Prefer an office to work from home instead? Not a problem! We have plenty of options for your working preferences. Find more information about our Work From Anywhere options here .
