Summary: Age of Learning, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable Accounting Analyst to support various tax and accounting-related tasks and projects. The ideal candidate is proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role will work closely with the finance and accounting teams, implementing and managing various projects, and providing overall support in tax and accounting

Responsibilities:

    • Perform various month-end and year-end accounting close activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
    • Ensure financial information and schedules are accurate and maintained in accordance with US GAAP.
    • Specific exposure to ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and ASC 350 Intangibles – Goodwill and Other is preferred
    • Prepare financial statements, including income statement byproduct, for dissemination to senior management, partners, and other third parties as needed
    • Prepare monthly variance analysis by department, product, and other segments
    • Coordinate with external auditors for requests and inquiries
    • Ensure controls are properly performed within the order to cash and financial close processes, and financial reporting
    • Partner with internal departments and external consultants as needed, to support ongoing improvements to business processes, procedures, and accounting systems
    • Perform various projects such as research, special projects, and analysis as needed

Required Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent years of experience
    • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in accounting
    • Deep analytical skills and attention to detail; able to multi-task on multiple projects with varying deadlines
    • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certified Public Accountant preferred
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central software is a plus
The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $75,000 USD to $95,000 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
