Job Description

Instructure is seeking a dynamic People Business Partner (HRBP) with prior experience fully partnering and supporting multiple departments/teams. The ideal candidate will be someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and apply excellent business instincts, develop talent, use data to drive decisions, and help maintain an environment where employees can thrive. The position will be responsible for employees based in Eastern Europe and will support our customer support teams.

What you will be doing:

    • Partner with employees and management across all levels of the organization
    • Advise leaders on people issues including performance management, employee engagement, employee relations, and other areas as needed
    • Partner with People team to manage compensation programs including salary and equity reviews, market adjustments and promotions
    • Train leaders on management best practices
    • Provide leaders with proactive solutions to facilitate meeting business goals
    • Promote a culture of excellent customer experience, openness, ownership, trust, integrity, excellence and simplicity

Here's what you need to know/have:

    • BS Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or related field
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience an HR Business Partner at international tech companies
    • Managing employee relations concerns and supporting business leaders
    • Solid understanding of Hungarian labor law and immigration cases
    • Experience with the USA's and other EU countries' labor law is preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to bring creative talent solutions to business needs and challenges
    • Experience navigating and managing HRIS data, preferably in Workday
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Ability to understand business priorities and to translate them to people programs
    • Demonstrated ability to build successful relationships and partner with all levels of management
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail, organized and desire for continuous improvement and innovation
    • Unquestionable integrity and discretion
    • Confident, self-starter with ability to proactively address employee needs
    • Currently residing in the Budapest area or can commute to that local office 2 or more times a week
    • Be fluent in both Hungarian and English, both written and verbal
    • You will be part of a distributed international team, requiring flexibility to accommodate different time zones
