We are seeking an experienced Post-Production Professional to join Netflix as a Post-Production Coordinator. As part of our dynamic team, you will assist in overseeing the post-production process on our African Originals, Co-Productions, and Licensed Originals. A successful candidate will be passionate about Film & TV and Post Production. You should be self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, comfortable with change, and able to pivot when necessary. You should be detailed, thorough, and capable of juggling a number of diverse responsibilities. Your work should demonstrate strong organization, ownership, and unwavering attention to detail. This versatile and fast-paced position requires someone who is curious, proactive, exercises good judgment, has excellent communication skills and displays a delight for urgency. This position will be based in our Amsterdam office. Relevant work experience in the field is essential. The Role The role will support Post Managers and Creative Execs internally, while also being a key point of support for external partners. Your day-to-day tasks will include project coordination, task management, onboarding of partners, administration, documentation, technical support, and other requests which facilitate the successful delivery of shows to our members. With a need to liaise with many internal specialist teams to ensure our content is maintained at the highest standards and deadlines are met, you will need to have a highly collaborative approach to your work. This should be underpinned by a strong technical understanding of all things post, as well as excellent logistical skills.

Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Support the post managers in reviewing schedules, budgets, quotes, and workflows
• Keep up to date with Netflix tools, specifications, and technologies
• Track and manage all post schedules, keeping stakeholders apprised of the status
• Set up and manage dailies, creative reviews for internal Executives
• Set up and attend post-production calls and meetings as needed
• Coordinate with internal specialists from project onboarding to delivery (e.g., QC, localization, archiving assets)
• Update and manage internal databases/trackers
• Manage Publicity and Marketing requests and assets
• Perform any other duties as necessary to support external partners and Netflix Post Production team.

Essential Qualifications:

• Relevant working experience as a Post Supervisor/Post Production Coordinator, or post production professional
• Passionate about African Film & Television
• Experience in production of local content in South Africa is a must, experience in other Sub Saharan African countries is beneficial
• Previous experience on independent or studio feature films or TV series
• Local vendor knowledge of South Africa
• Understanding of typical Post Production Tools - Premiere, Avid, Resolve
• Fluency in English is required
• Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Gdrive, MS Word, Excel
• Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of UHD/4K cameras and workflows
• Comfortable with and willingness to learn new technology
• Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling a plus, but not required
