Job Description

As a Platform Editor, you will play an essential role in delivering and presenting sports content attractively and reliably to DAZN viewers. There are two main categories of work: operations and editorial. You will be responsible for operational settings to ensure DAZN's live and programmed content is properly delivered. This role is crucial to the core of our service. Additionally, as the main point of contact within the team, you will play a central role in managing and operating collaborations with partner company platforms.

As our new Platform Editor, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Ensure the smooth flow of streaming distribution operations. This includes scheduling matches and events, managing metadata and distribution quality and troubleshooting the distribution process, including retransmission of content.
• Perform basic tasks for all live and programmed content distributed on DAZN, such as entering titles for each match, setting up distribution and selecting thumbnail images. You will use the internal CMS (Content Management System) and coordinate with overseas teams in English (mainly via email and chat) to complete tasks on schedule.
• Manage projects related to new business development or new features. This includes managing and monitoring the distribution of our content on other platforms, distributing other companies' content on our platform and developing new business initiatives that maximize the value of new features. You will collaborate with teams in the UK, India, and other regions where DAZN services are provided, as well as with domestic and international business partners to lead new business initiatives to success.
• Extract and analyse data on viewership, user trends and subscriber numbers using dedicated tools to identify issues and work with the team and managers to resolve them.
• Editorial work involves presenting DAZN's sports content more attractively to users. This includes conveying match highlights in short, precise text, expressing the weekend's highlights in compelling copy and selecting photos to create impactful thumbnails.
• Experience in writing will be beneficial. Even if you don't have professional writing experience, a strong interest in sports, a lifestyle of regularly watching matches and a habit of reading sports articles are welcome.
• The DAZN platform's UI is heavily influenced by editors' experience and sense, so knowledge of design is essential when creating pages. Experience with design software like Illustrator and Photoshop is preferred.
• Even without design experience or knowledge, you must plan creative content, including videos and images, with the creative team and plan and execute promotions in line with campaigns in cooperation with various departments.

You’ll have:

• Ability to organise, classify and process a large amount of information, such as sports schedules and metadata related to distribution.
• Skills in basic PC software like Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Aptitude for working with tools specific to distribution services, such as CMS (Content Management System) (experience with similar systems is a plus).
• Business-level English proficiency.
• Interest and enthusiasm for sports.
• Cooperativeness to work positively with the team to achieve goals with the ability to multitask.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to collaborate efficiently with multiple stakeholders and advance projects.
• Flexibility is key with the need to work on weekends, holidays, late nights and during year-end and New Year periods according to the sports schedule and to action changes in projects and ensure adequate on-site team support.
