Our Product/IP team is quickly growing thanks to our success in the market, we are proud to be launching a brand-new product for Financial Planning / Financial Wellness. This will be a new product, based on the acquisition of a client solution. This is a unique opportunity for a Cloud Architect to participate in the M&A of a solution, turning the solution into a marketable SaaS product, and taking the new offering to market. • Define the target architecture and high level design for a SaaS product transitioning from current on-premise solution
• Working with Product Engineering and Product Management teams to identify technical, functional and non-functional requirements (such as security, reliability, scalability) that the architecture and high level design must address
• Definition of the required infrastructure (network, support software, etc.) to support the Product deployments for CGI’s Global Wealth and Capital Markets clients
• Leading domain visioning exercises, creating, updating and proposing technical documentation material for client deliverables and presentations, internally and with clients and partners
• Participating in and leading technology evaluation requests and recommending the solution aligns with strategy and client need; ensure that the solution meets all non-functional requirements like Security, Scalability, Reliability, etc.
• Assisting with establishing key architecture standards, tools, best practices, and methodologies to enable the client’s target state and enable its architecture evolution and alignment across the organization
• Working with other architects to define, champion and govern technical architecture standards, tools (design and run time), best practices and development methodologies
• Working with the Development team on the design and implementation of our products
• Identifying strategic and tactical solutions and an ability to influence and negotiate with clients, colleagues and business partners
• Keeping abreast of technical innovations, new products and services of interest to financial services industry
• Experience with major public cloud providers a must (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• 8 - 10 years progressively senior experience in Information Technology with solid background in IT strategy and technology planning
• Experience in IT strategy & technology plan development
• Experience in analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions which integrate across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives.
• Knowledge or experience with Financial Services/Financial planning a plus
