Job Description
As our Technical Program Manager - Manufacturing Systems, you will support our Manufacturing Systems team development and execution activities, including the Manufacturing Execution System, Production Support System, and Line Automation systems, during production and implement improvements to the current processes. You will work with Manufacturing Engineering, Business Applications, Information Technology, and Vehicle program Management teams to help the Manufacturing Systems team achieve our strategic and tactical milestones. You will also coordinate with these cross-functional teams to obtain support to identify and resolve any issues in production. Additionally, you will represent the Manufacturing Engineering team in autonomous robot configuration management activities so that consistent robot as-built hardware, software, and firmware configurations can be maintained when robots are fleet-released from the factories. You will work with the relevant leaders and teams to develop specific Manufacturing System Team roadmaps, and project schedules, identify milestones, flag risks, estimate budgets, track costs, and communicate ongoing progress as well as coordinate and support the day-to-day onsite activities of Manufacturing Systems Team members. Responsibilities
- Work with Quality, Process, Diagnostics, Equipment, and Production teams in manufacturing operations to define manufacturing system requirements to support Advanced Hardware Manufacturing and General Assembly operations.
- Collaborate with Business Applications teams and System Integration partners to manage the development and implementation of Manufacturing Execution System functionality enhancement and ERP system integration projects.
- Improve/develop the robot as-built BOM creation and fleet-release automation processes using MES and Ignition systems.
- Manage the development of Command Center and Production Support System feature enhancements and deployment activities.
- Work with department leaders to translate the top-down corporate strategy and milestones into detailed concepts, roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables that are relevant to the Manufacturing Systems team’s activities
- Work with cross-functional leaders in engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and finance to define and then track resource requirements to support the achievement of the team’s deliverables
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, and program management
- Experience with high scale industry manufacturing (i.e. automotive, aerospace, etc) and the necessary integration with related functions such as logistics, quality, facility, safety & environmental, procurement
- Strong track record in managing complex cross-functional projects or programs
- Experience with product management across different platforms
- Advanced program management and teamwork skills
Compensation There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $151,000 to $249,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
