The Compliance Technology Team at Coinbase plays a critical role in achieving our mission. Compliance Technology designs, builds and maintains complex systems at a global scale to meet and exceed BSA/AML regulations with industry best practices.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): You will be responsible for building and managing an Offshore Team responsible for the day-to-day support of our Compliance Technology Products including Transaction Monitoring System (TMS), Screening, Customer Risk Scoring (CRS) and Reporting. Initially the focus of the role will be in managing day-to-day activities, and regularly reporting status to the onshore team. Over time we expect you will help the team to take on more complex tasks, such as Engineering.

• Manage and prioritize work for the Offshore Team to be enable Efficient Execution
• Data Quality Monitoring - Own daily monitoring to ensure data flowing in, and out of our controls are within risk tolerance. Develop dashboards and other tools to share results with stakeholders.
• System Monitoring - Daily monitoring of our systems for overall health Eg. batches are running as expected etc.
• Incident Management - Triage of issues identified, determination of Root Cause, and remediation of the issue.
• Change and Release Management - Governance and coordination of changes and releases in accordance with our procedures.
• Management and Regulatory Reporting - Generation of periodic management and regulatory reports.
• Daily BAU Activities - Management of daily BAU activities such as kicking off technical jobs, and actioning Jira requests.
• Proactively identifying opportunities for Offshore Team to increase productivity of the Compliance Technology team holistically

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Significant experience in leading Offshore Support Teams in a Compliance Function at Financial Services company (or indirectly via Consultancy)
• Transaction Monitoring
• Sanctions Screening
• Know Your Customer and Customer Risk Scoring
• Regulatory and Management Reporting
• Deep Project and Program Management experience
• Ability to work cross functionally, reach out to different stakeholders and teams to resolve issues

Nice to haves:

• Technical Expertise across SQL, Python and Airflow
• Experience in managing projects in Jira
• Interest in Crypto
