Job Description

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work with function head on mid to long term strategic planning and organizational initiatives including definition of scope, budget, timeline and project success criteria.
  • Identify risks, diagnose issues and champion solutions to enable optimal strategy execution within and across all areas of TDC Asia
  • Monitor progress of strategic initiatives, including risks and issues, and develop the appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Support in development of TDC Asia annual KPIs and provide tracking and monitoring on performance to ensure its acheivements
  • Assess internal performance metrics against industry benchmarks and identify areas of non-performance or enhancement
  • Support function head in overseeing business operation activities and provide necessary guidance / support to the team
  • Drive the development and continuous improvement of business integlligence capabilities within TDC Asia.
  • Ensure quality of reporting by capturing dynamics and trends of policy and industry environment that influence business, develop useful insight and provide implication to TDC Asia business
  • Partnership with Communication communities to develop annual plan, and ensure its execution jointly to promote R&D and TDC Asia branding in the region

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS:

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • More than 10 years work experience in the healthcare industry with extensive knowledge on the evolving pharma landscape including policy and innovation trends
  • Ability to apply integrated thinking and buiness acumen to think through complex issues, then articulate recommendaitons
  • Self-motivatedm able to work independently and influence others to drive projects forward in a fast-paced environment
  • Consulting professional experience is a plus
  • Strong command in both verbal and written English, able to articulate ideas clearly in forms of speaking, report, and powerpoint presentation

  • Proven track record in project management and leading initiatives

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • Able to plan, execute, and solve problems independently

Interaction

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work effectively with senior leaders, Function Heads and team members both locally and globally

  • Contribute to new ideas for improving organizational operations

  • Able to work in complex situations and deliver projects according to timelines
  • Able to work on multiple tasks concurrently

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or business related field required. Advanced degree such as PhD and MBA preferred
  • Ability to define, develop and implement business solutions based on trends, opportunities, needs and market direction within pharmaceutical industry and health care environment.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence effectively with various senior leaders, partners, regions, corporate divisions and cultures.
  • Ability to drive decision-making within a multi-disciplinary, multi-regional, matrix teams.
  • Experience working within a complex organization and demonstrated ability to work across functions and regions, at all levels without direct authority.
  • Ability to comprehend, organize and synthesize complex data, identify issues and trends, and develop and implement solutions to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Proven track record leading large change initiatives including project management and consulting skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner in multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience leading change in a highly matrixed and complex environment

Additional preferred requirements:

  • Seasoned people management experience and/or leading regional complex matrix teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of research and development, operations, project management and finance/business planning processes.
  • Proven experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary and diverse groups, including senior leadership members, to accomplish goals.
