Job Description
Spotify’s growing Ad Tech and Analytics Partnerships team is looking for an outstanding Business Development leader to support Spotify’s strategic advertising creative partnerships. In this role, you’ll help craft the future of Spotify’s advertising business by growing our current partnerships and identifying prospects that will drive revenue growth. We are looking for someone with a genuine curiosity to understand and identify creative solutions and strategies while forging valuable connections with our partners. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of navigating complex agreements, negotiating deals and working cross functionally. We want someone who loves our product and understands the ad tech and advertising ecosystem.
What You'll Do
- Develop detailed understanding of Spotify’s advertising creative programs to effectively support our ad product, creative operations, and ads marketing team
- Work cross-functionally to build and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with long-term objectives.
- Negotiate contract terms and commercials that align with the goals of our product, sales, operations, legal, accounting, and finance team.
- Provide effective, articulate and concise updates (written & verbal) to key internal partners & senior executives.
- Own and grow relationships with strategic partners, continuously modifying or growing them to support Spotify’s business needs.
- Make informed written strategy recommendations related to new industry products and internal strategy.
- Become a Spotify digital creative expert, with a primary focus on aligning partner offerings and devising strategies to reinforce our first-party initiatives by addressing any gaps through partnerships.
- Collaborate with team members across ad product, creative operations, and ads marketing team to create a comprehensive creative strategy, with a focus on Creative AI.
- Research and gain a comprehensive understanding of the market and emerging initiatives within the digital creative realm, evaluating the necessity for new partnerships and initiating them internally.
Who You Are
- You have a minimum of 10+ years of total work experience, with a minimum of 5+ years focused in sales, partnership management, or business development in the Ad Tech industry specifically in digital advertising creative.
- You have strong writing, verbal and interpersonal skills and can confidently communicate with any audience, including senior executives.
- You have the ability to troubleshoot and research complex payment and contract matters.
- You have excellent attention to detail, possessing analytical and planning abilities.
- You have the ability to work independently to initiate and maintain relationships, assess partnership viability and growth opportunities, work through long deal cycles, and navigate complex deals.
- You have previous experience partnering with or leading successful partnerships with ad tech companies.
- You have the foundational knowledge of the digital marketing ecosystem.
- You are a positive and collaborative team player who values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- You have worked closely with a legal team regarding issues of privacy, commercial structure, and product deliverables and expectations.
Where You'll Be
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the EST time zone as long as we have a work location .
The United States base range for this position is $138,270 to $197,529, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
