About the team

Roku’s Workplace organization is responsible for delivering services that support Roku’s business and reflects our culture where people love to come to work, collaborate with their colleagues, and deliver exceptional results. We are looking for an extraordinary individual that has substantial hands-on experience managing all elements of the workplace environment, including facility & site management, food service, office services, space management, construction, events and project management. The Manager, Workplace Experience – APAC will report to the APAC and EMEA Sr Manager. This person will play a critical role in Roku’s success in establishing our Bangalore Workplace presence.

About the role

In this role, you will oversee the delivery of all facility services for the APAC offices, currently Bangalore, Hsinchu, Seoul, Shanghai and Shenzhen. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for workplace experience that prioritize employee satisfaction and also align with our corporate vision. You will craft and refine policies and practices that reinforce a positive, productive work environment, while fostering innovation in workplace management including soliciting feedback from employees, staying abreast of market trends, and integrating best practices.
You will direct the scaling of workplace experiences to match company growth, using data-driven approaches to optimize space utilization and employee engagement. Additionally, you will develop new site programs such as snack, meal, facility operations, etc. You will also partner with Real Estate Transactions, Design & Projects, and local stake holders to liaison new site selection, due diligence efforts, and general “boots on the ground” coordination.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and manage a talented workplace experience team, promoting a culture of continuous learning, growth, and alignment with Roku’s values
    Build and maintain a robust service mentality within the team, ensuring a responsive and adaptive approach to internal customer needs.
  • Collaborate with Finance and leadership to develop and manage budgets that provide ROI through enhanced workplace experiences
  • Act as a key liaison with various departments including Technology, Legal, People Operations, Internal Communications, and others, aligning workspace experience initiatives with stakeholder requirements.
  • Partner with the Security Operations team to ensure a secure workplace while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for employees and guests.

We're excited if you have

  • At least ten (10) years of experience in workplace experience management, facilities management, or a related field, with ideally at least three (3) years in a leadership role for a large, diverse, and distributed workforce within a high-growth technology or related industry.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite or similar office productivity software, with a particular emphasis on presentation and spreadsheet tools.
  • Experience with integrated workplace management systems (IWMS) and familiarity with current workplace technology trends.
  • A proven track record in developing and executing workplace strategies that drive employee engagement and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change management initiatives and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in event management, space planning, and workplace design.
  • Experience in scaling workplace experience functions in line with organizational growth.
  • A strong portfolio of successfully managed stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally, including vendors and partners.
  • Demonstrated ability in team leadership, budget management, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives and presenting them effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across various departments and at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong service mentality, with a commitment to enabling and enhancing employee productivity and satisfaction.
  • Agile and innovative mindset, with a penchant for staying ahead of industry trends and adapting strategies accordingly.
