Mission
As a field-based Medical Scientific Liaison, you'll play a crucial role in our team, reporting to the MSL Manager, Onco-hematology, with a dotted line to the Assistant Medical Director, Oncology, Brazil. Your primary responsibility will be to disseminate clinical information regarding Takeda's cancer treatment products to key opinion leaders, academic institutions, healthcare professionals, and professional organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering timely, accurate updates of clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare professionals.
- Implementing defined goals and objectives aligned with the Medical Affairs Plan of Action and other strategic initiatives.
- Developing plans for cultivating and maintaining working relationships with thought leaders in your assigned geographic territory.
- Participating in advisory boards, symposia, and educational programs, including speaker training sessions and clinical conferences when required.
- Collaborating with colleagues across various functional areas.
- Supporting the development, deployment, and appropriate use of field tools and resources such as slide decks.
- Completing required administrative and training procedures in a timely fashion, including expense reports and documentation of interactions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Exchange and dissemination of scientific, educational, and research-related information.
- Identifying, profiling, segmenting, and strategizing engagement with thought leaders.
- Participating in networking events, congresses, and conventions to establish contacts and gather competitive intelligence.
- Coordinating scientific education activities and advisory boards within your therapeutic area.
- Preparing reports and tracking activities against agreed-upon objectives and country medical activity plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences, pharmacology, or medicine. Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) preferred.
- Basic knowledge of therapeutic area products.
- Understanding of clinical trial design and rationale.
- Ability to work in a team environment and build productive relationships internally and externally.
- Strong problem-solving skills and self-starter mentality.
- Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
- Impact-driven mindset with interpersonal awareness.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese (written and spoken).
- Valid driver's license.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced medical/scientific degree with experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related healthcare field.
- Capacity to develop and deliver high-quality presentations.
- Affinity for a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to translate scientific expertise into achieving business goals.
- Willingness to travel 70% - 80% of the time, occasionally with short notice.
