Product Support Engineer Migration

What You'll Do

• Work as part of the team that ensures successful data migration over Teradata systems living on various flavors of OnPrem and Cloud based platforms.
• Manage cases and incidents that address issues encountered over the entire migration lifecycle for planning, prep and deployment, pre migration throughput testing, actual migration and any clean up activities needing “problem management” follow through with other organizations such as GSO and/or engineering.

Who You'll Work With

• Candidate will work individually and directly with all other teams with a vested role in ensuring a successful, and hopefully smooth data migration is achieved.
• They will work with other members of the GSO Migration team, other GSO PST representatives from other product areas that may have a role in root cause of any issue effecting the migration. They will build relationships with all the engineering organizations help with migrations as well. Emphasis on DTU Engineering and Network engineering.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

To be a quality contributor in this role, the candidate should have a passion for helping people. We address a wide and diverse range of migration related issues. Sometimes its about knowing the answer but more often its about finding the answer. The candidate should be a self-starter ready to get their hands in the mud so-to-speak. Ideal candidates would have experience with Teradata in some capacity. Previously supporting any of DBS, OS/PDE, Hardware is very helpful. Strong network analysis experience is a huge plus.

• Strong technical skills in the areas of programming and network analysis are useful.
• Good soft skills are obviously a must being this role requires cross collaboration between many other representatives of the company all vested in ensuring smooth migrations.
