OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 8-10 years

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• MySQL DBA with at least 4 to 6 years of experience in Aurora/MYSQL RDS DB.
• Expert knowledge on MySQL underlying storage engines, especially InnoDB.
• Strong AWS working knowledge with Clusters / Global Databases - backups/snapshots, cloning, Cloudwatch etc.
• Experience in defining and implementing holistic Monitoring of Cloud databases including monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace SQLDM etc.
• Demonstrated strong and meticulous experience with database upgrades, replication using DMS, recovery, DB migration, etc.
• Experience managing multi-Terabyte VLDB with high transactional volume.
• Expertise in RDMS performance tuning and real-time troubleshooting.
• Participate in 24/7 DBA team on-call rotation for production databases.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and analytical databases (e.g. Vertica).

OPTIONAL BUT GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS:

• Read SQL Code and optimizing techniques of MySQL procedures.
• Experience in Developing Infra as code using Troposphere / Terraform or any other.
• Experience in automation tools Jenkins, Ansible, git etc.
• Experience with Oracle ASM, storage snap, data guard, Rman Commvault backup, RAC.
