Our library of over 1,000 legal documents aren’t just templates or fill-in forms; they are dynamic and highly customizable. We take pride in making it easy for our customers to create their own documents by answering simple questions. We craft easy-to-read help along the way so they understand the important choices they are making and can identify when they need the assistance of a legal professional. We're looking for a leader - a licensed attorney who can help us maintain the highest level of quality and utility. Customer value is our North Star, so we’re looking for someone who understands the needs of clients who need a good legal document to address their legal situation. In this role, you will build and manage a team of legal researchers, editors, and technical staff who are as passionate as you about quality and customer value. You will use your excellent organizational skills to tackle new projects and improve existing processes. You will use your business acumen to set priorities and make decisions on new content that is most in demand, ultimately generating customer value and growing revenue. Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the document library, including quality control, comprehensiveness, and compliance for all U.S. jurisdictions
• Liaise with legal professionals in the Rocket Lawyer network to ensure legal documents are sound and up-to-date
• Work with Marketing and Product Management using data to drive decisions on where to best expand our document library
• Work with Rocket Lawyer’s enterprise partners on specific content and editorial needs
• Work with the technical teams to identify and follow through on improvements to our legal document authoring tools
• Work with Marketing and product development teams to improve the organization and presentation of legal document content
• When needed, serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to help develop better products and customer experiences

Qualifications

• A J.D. from an American Bar Association-approved law school
• A current license to practice law in good standing, preferably in the U.S., with a clean legal regulatory record; no substantiated or unresolved professional responsibility complaints
• At least 5 years experience as a practicing attorney including working 1:1 with clients on a wide range of documents to solve legal issues
• A minimum of 5 years of management experience. Strong preference for managing similar teams that included legal, editorial, and/or technical professionals working remotely
• Proven experience using technology and/or working with technical teams to solve business problems at scale; examples include content management, document or contract management, automation, and AI
• Strong ability to lead and grow a team, including demonstrated project management and prioritization skills
• Excellent core legal skills, including efficient and comprehensive legal research and meticulous review of documents
• Track record of drafting, implementing, and improving policies and procedures
• Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to forge productive working relationships with business team colleagues
• Ability to work independently, effectively multi-task, and prioritize appropriately
