Job Description

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Representative to join our Robinson Fresh division. In this role, you will be responsible for processing produce payments, supplier maintenance, managing the account portfolio and completing assigned daily responsibilities. You will research and resolve complex problems and disputes to ensure important deadlines are met. This is a remote position, providing the flexibility for you to contribute from the location of your choice.

Responsibilities:

• Process payments and maintain supplier information in alignment with Service Level Expectations (SLAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Manage vendor inquiries and provide payment status updates through a team-shared inbox
• Investigate and resolve various inquiries, including payment disputes, price, and quantity discrepancies
• Collaborate with branch employees and external suppliers to promptly address and resolve discrepancies in a professional manner
• Conduct reviews of supplier statements as part of the payment inquiry resolution, including account reconciliations
• Communicate effectively and escalate issues requiring support to Accounts Payable leadership
• Contribute innovative ideas for continuous improvement by leveraging a comprehensive understanding of the overall workflow and identified themes
• Cultivate professional relationships with internal and external partners, maintaining open communication and building rapport through timely and professional service
• Further develop skills and expand knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and billing
• Provide coaching and support to less experienced team members to foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of experience using accounting principals

Preferred Qualifications:

• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
• Experience working in Famous software platform
• Ability to perform in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work well within a deadline-driven environment
• Perform functions efficiently and accurately
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Positive, professional attitude and excellent customer service skills with an ability to deal with conflict/sensitive topics
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
