About this role

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Event Producer based at our 50 Hudson Yards headquarters. The candidate will have a background in delivering large-scale, high-touch, internal and external events, both live and virtual. The successful candidate will lead and direct partner teams and outside crews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary contact for event coordination at Hudson Yards
  • Plan, produce, and lead all aspects of virtual, in-person, and hybrid events from 50 Hudson Yards for both internal and external audiences ranging from 50 – 1000+ attendees, including Global Town Halls, conferences, and roadshows
  • Partner internally, including senior executive offices, Corporate Communications, Event Marketing, Video Production, Webcasting, Animation, and Global Creative
  • Setup and provide in-room support for events
  • Run all AV events, including pre-event testing of audio, wireless microphone battery levels, VC image, etc.
  • Liaise with clients for large scale events to understand requirements
  • Lead pre-production meetings required for any scheduled special events
  • Act as primary support to operate in-room systems for global production events
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours emergency support (subject to Ad Hoc/Out of Hours Fees)
  • Handle event budgets, resource planning, and timelines and ensure that all events are delivered on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement event strategies
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and processes, including AI and automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of event production

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in delivering large-scale, high-touch, VIP events, both live and virtual. Corporate experience a must; financial services experience highly preferred
  • Must have experience in all facets of high-level event production, including conceptualization and design, budgeting, show-calling, and familiarity with audio and video production, lighting and set design, various types of display systems, videoconferencing, and graphics
  • Attention to detail, timeliness, and efficiency are crucial, but ideal candidates will also take emotional ownership and accountability for their work and demonstrate a passion for performance
  • Ideal candidates must be willing and able to work from NYC BlackRock offices, as well as travel domestically and internationally occasionally (hybrid model is 4:1 but candidate must be flexible to work 5 days a week in office as necessary)
  • They must be self-starters and work well independently and collaborate with all personality types at all levels and positions within BlackRock, as well as produce and perform at a high level
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a multifaceted environment
  • High level experience with WebEx and Zoom Platforms in producing virtual events
  • Creative and technical expertise within budgetary constraints
  • A passion for researching, integrating and implementing new insights and solutions in the event production space
  • Webcasting experience is a plus
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $173,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
