The Role The Integration Engineer role on the Veeva Digital Events team will be responsible for the development, support, and maintenance of our integration workflow using Dell Boomi to build, deploy, and manage processes in Boomi Atmosphere, implementing complex, highly scalable, and high-volume integrations. The engineer will be part of the technology team responsible for supporting our logistics and event management services team. The engineer will work closely with technology experts from commercial services, infrastructure, and development teams.

What You'll Do

• Assist with design, development, and deployment of integrations across cloud and/or on-premise using Dell Boomi platform (Cloud Integration, Application Integration, and Enterprise web services APIs)
• Support, monitor, troubleshoot, and fine-tune existing Boomi integrations
• Collaborate with the application development team to conduct root cause analysis and resolve issues relating to integrations
• Resolve production issues timely and support the smooth running of integrations between applications
• Troubleshoot issues across multiple platforms (Boomi, SQL Server, and Salesforce)
• Migrate legacy integration processes into the Dell Boomi platform for standardization, security, and maintainability
• Develop, optimize, and implement scalable integrations to automate business processes using Boomi integrations
• Interface with both internal/external technical experts to drive system solutions
• Contribute to evolving the company’s EAI and SOA vision by implementing methodologies, and procedures conforming to standard patterns and practices
• Provide the development team with EAI technical subject matter expertise and work with a team (Architects, other Tech Leads, and Systems Analysts) to ensure development activities are aligned with scope, schedule, priority, and business objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or MIS
• 3+ years of experience with engineering complex Integration projects with SaaS and Business applications
• 3+ years of hands-on and project experience with Boomi Integration processes (Boomi Process building, deployment, API management, alert framework/exception handling, connectors/listeners, and integration packs)
• 2+ years of experience supporting an existing Boomi Integration
• 3+ years of experience working with API-based integrations showing direct use of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and Web Services Interoperability
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript
• 3+ years of Relational Database background and SQL Skills
• Knowledge of integration design patterns, cloud technologies, and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Must have knowledge of basic software development principles, practices, and techniques
• Have written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with customers and technical teams
• Demonstrated ability to execute and solve problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation
• Ability to plan and prioritize work assignments

Nice to Have

• Boomi Associate Integration Developer certification is a plus
• Experience building integrations with Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, or Salesforce
• Experience working with offshore development partners
• Experience working with Azure or AWS cloud environments

Compensation

• Base pay: $110,000 - $185,000
• The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
