Job Description

The Role: The Senior Director, People will have the full People team reporting to her or him. You will be the sole People team direct report to our Chief Partner & People Officer, who spans multiple departments. You will be responsible for senior level HR business partnership, workforce strategy, and people operations across our entire company. You will partner closely with senior executives and leadership teams to share ownership and drive improvements across all People functions such as: workforce strategy, compensation and rewards, performance management, recruiting, career paths and development, leadership development, team identity, and culture. You will partner closely with Minted’s leaders and lead a small-but-mighty team to establish programs, practices and processes which enable us to attract, develop, motivate, and retain the best talent anywhere. You will be an advocate, coach, role-model, and HR wizard who not only can envision a thriving organization but can build the path to get there. We’re open to hiring in either San Francisco or Kansas City. Our SF-based People team has an in-person 3x a week schedule. Anticipated Start Date: 3/19/2024 #LI-AN1

You Will:

    • Lead a team of 8 to provide HR expertise on topics including people management, career development, performance management, employee and leadership learning and development, benefits and compensation, recruiting, recognition, employee relations, company policies, facilities, and more
    • Be a close advisor to the Chief Partner & People Officer and CEO. Lead the People leadership team
    • Drive HR operational excellence by providing guidance and expertise in program and process design (e.g. performance management, workforce planning, talent development, etc.) and managing program and process execution and rollout with your client groups
    • Act as a hands-on senior HR business partner for Minted’s Brand Creative, Marketing, and Category Management teams
    • Shape and drive the talent and organization strategy and action plans that support the business goals and priorities of our client teams and full company
    • Partner with leaders at all levels to manage and motivate their team members and provide advice and guidance on diverse and challenging employee issues
    • Analyze employee data and trends to guide decision making and recommendations
    • Be strategic, analytical and operational with the ability to transition easily from being strategic to being executional
    • Help us develop and engage a diverse employee base that includes a hybrid team working from our San Francisco headquarters, a large remote team throughout the U.S., a large seasonal team that we bring on board for our peak holiday season
    • Champion and role model Minted’s culture, values & mission, finding ways to continually strengthen them across the company

You Have:

    • 10-15 years in a well-rounded HR generalist career path, including exposure to the full slate of HR functions, HR Business Partner working directly with Directors and VPs and team leadership
    • 5+ years of experience leading teams, with breadth across the full range of HR functions
    • Experience working in fast paced, high growth, dynamic companies
    • Deep expertise in key HR areas including people management, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, people analytics and operations, leadership development, employee relations
Compensation: The compensation range for the role applies to both employment offers and Minted employees actively working in the role. Our employment offers fall between the minimum and midpoint of the range to allow for continued salary growth during your employment at Minted. The upper half of the range accommodates this growth and supports our intention to create an environment that encourages lasting relationships between Minted and our employees. Geo Base Full Salary Range 0 - Includes SF Bay Area $208,000 - $312,000 (Midpoint $260,000) Geo Base Full Salary Range 1 - All non-SF CA, DC, NY - $191,360 - $287,040 (Midpoint $239,200) Geo Base Full Salary Range 2 - Includes CO, IL, MA, MD, NJ, OR, RI, TX, VT, VA, WA - $176,800 - $265,200 (Midpoint $221,000) Geo Base Full Salary Range 3 - Includes AL, AK, AZ, AR, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, NV, NH, NC, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, WI, WV, WY - $162,240 - $243,360 (Midpoint $202,800) This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus and stock options.
