Job Description

The Account Manager is accountable to drive growth and maximize retention for a defined customer portfolio. The Account Manager creates demand, identifies new wallet share opportunities, and sells creative solutions aligned to their customer’s needs. As the primary point of contact for our customers, the Account Manager is additionally responsible for customer advocacy, driving continuous improvement, and delivering on our customer commitments. The Account Manager collaborates closely with cross functional teams to ensure an optimal customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop account relationships with contacts at multiple levels within customer organizations
• Identify opportunities to further penetrate accounts by selling C.H. Robinson’s diverse portfolio of services
• Design solutions and help our customers solve their supply chain challenges
• Ensures quality expectations are met on all executed shipments
• Uses effective negotiation and sales strategies in discussing pricing and selling solutions with the customer
• Collaborate with account leadership to develop pricing strategies
• Identify issues and consulting with the customer to determine best course of action and implement solutions
• Manage customer expectations through the creation and utilization of metrics
• Develops a deep understanding of carrier’s business, goals, preferences, capabilities, equipment, and expertise to maximize the relationship, capacity utilization and carrier satisfaction
• Collaborate on creating business reviews and contribute to or lead customer meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years of previous sales and/or account management experience
• Proficient in Italian and English (written and verbal) is mandatory
• Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
• Demonstrated negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills
• Strong prioritization skills, multi-tasking skills, and works with a sense of urgency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
