What You'll Do Join our Mobile Data Collection Team on a mission to develop the industry-leading digital experience analytics SDK. As a
Senior Android Software Engineer , you'll play a crucial role in building and maintaining this innovative solution. Key responsibilities include: ▪️ Collaborating with the team to implement efficient and elegant solutions to complex problems. ▪️ Navigating through native APIs and poorly documented features to ensure comprehensive data collection. ▪️ Prioritizing performance, stability, and minimal impact on user experience. ▪️ Emphasizing data and CPU consumption optimization. ▪️ Contributing to software architecture, code sharing, and automation efforts to support team scalability and productivity. ▪️ Upholding strict standards regarding data privacy, ensuring no collection of Personal Identifiable Information (PII).
💻 Our stack Our SDK operates within the native Android environment, utilizing Java (with a transition to Kotlin) for development. Key components include: ▪️ SDK development in Java, transitioning to Kotlin. ▪️ Kotlin-based unit tests and sample app. ▪️ Utilization of Protocol Buffers for data-intensive APIs.
🤗 Requirements We're looking for candidates with the following qualifications: ▪️ Proficiency in both Java and Kotlin. ▪️ Prior experience with software SDKs is highly desirable. ▪️ Demonstrated ability in developing high-performance code for Android applications. ▪️ Experience in automated testing, particularly in non-regression and performance testing. ▪️ Skill in writing clear, comprehensive unit tests and documentation. ▪️ Comfort with collaborative practices such as pair programming and code reviews. ▪️ Willingness to mentor junior developers and contribute to a diverse and inclusive team environment. ▪️ Curiosity and creativity in tackling complex challenges. ▪️ Fluency in English for effective communication.
