The Data Coordinator II abstracts pertinent information from patient medical charts according to CIBMTR guidelines, enter data into Web based application.

Responsibilities

  • Track patient arrivals and check for clinic appointments in order to schedule research blood draws for unrelated donor recipients in Epic
  • Once samples are received, package samples per procedure, take to shipping and receiving for shipment
  • Track samples acquisitions. For any missing samples an excuse form will need to be submitted
  • Perform QA on signed research consents, notify Manager when there are issues
  • Work with scanning staff to make any corrections in patient research records
  • Schedule scanning meetings and schedule ASL interpreters
  • Assist with data queries as requested. Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS, RRA (Registered Records Administrator), ART (Accredited Records Technician), or two year degree in the medical field.
  • Two years of experience in medical records, cancer registry, research protocols and/or data coordination, or related field.
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with databases.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong medical terminology a must

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid knowledge of statistics.
  • Previous EPIC experience.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $25.71 to $36.60 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
