We are expanding our team to take on this challenge! About the Role Legal documents are at the core of everything we do. Our library of over 1,000 legal documents aren’t just templates or fill-in forms; they are dynamic and highly customizable. We take pride in making it easy for our customers to create their own documents by answering simple questions. We craft easy-to-read help along the way so they understand the important choices they are making and can identify when they need the assistance of a legal professional. The team responsible for our legal documents needs a leader - a licensed attorney who can help us maintain the highest level of quality and utility. Customer value is our North Star, so we’re looking for someone who has experience working one-on-one with clients drafting legal documents to solve their legal needs. In this role, you will build and manage a team of legal researchers and editors who are as passionate as you about quality and customer value. You will use your excellent organizational skills to tackle new projects and to improve existing processes. You will be directly responsible for setting priorities and making decisions on new content that is most in demand, ultimately generating customer value and growing revenue generated by our legal documents. Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the U.S. document library, including quality control, comprehensiveness and compliance for all U.S. jurisdictions
• Liaise with and organize the efforts of the legal professionals in the Rocket Lawyer network to ensure regular review and updating of documents
• Work with Marketing and Product Management using data to drive decisions areas of expansion of legal content
• Expand our current document library to provide additional documents that customers need
• Work with Rocket Lawyer’s enterprise partners on specific areas of interest or expansion of the document library
• Work with the product development team to identify and follow through on improvements to our legal content authoring tools

Qualifications

• A J.D. from an American Bar Association-approved law school and a current license to practice law in the US
• At least 10 years experience as an attorney
• A minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably over attorneys, including remote work
• A clean legal regulatory record; no substantiated or unresolved professional responsibility complaints
• Experience working 1:1 with clients on a wide range of documents to solve legal issues
• Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven record for meticulous reviews of documents
• Strong ability to lead and grow a team, including demonstrated project management and prioritization skills
• Track record of drafting, implementing, and improving policies and procedures
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to forge productive working relationships with business team colleagues
• Ability to work independently, effectively multi-task, and prioritize appropriately
