Job Description
The Role We are looking to hire a Senior Procurement Manager within our finance organization. This person will collaborate cross functionally with the organization to oversee our procurement, RFP, and corporate travel programs. We’re looking for someone with an eye for cost savings, a passion for process, and someone who can build strong relationships both internally and externally with our vendors. Your Daily Adventures Will Include
- Monitor and improve our procurement strategies, including our RFP process across all purchasing channels; Set departmental goals, KPI reporting packages, and the long-term roadmap for purchasing function
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with internal department leaders, internal stakeholders including Accounting, Legal, Finance, IT, and Security, and external vendors
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors on behalf of Outreach personnel
- Partner with Accounting and FP&A for cash management and implement polices and processes to maximize vendor cash position
- Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks; Work closely with FP&A partners to align financial goals to procurement planning
- Process global purchase orders to acquire goods and services
- Create, document, and train internal teams on standard work and purchasing processes
- Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility, including risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements
- Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation, including all Internal Controls and SOX procedures
- Assess and implement vendor compliance program, including assessing credit worthiness and reputation of vendors to mitigate risk to the company
- Create and maintain due diligence policies and procedures to ensure suppliers meet our standards of business conduct
- Create and maintain a diverse supplier program and provide accurate reporting to both internal and external stakeholders regarding achievement of goals
- Prepare quarterly vendor reviews, ad hoc reports, and briefings to include vendor performance information, financial data, and other key metrics
- Execute other duties as assigned by leadership
Our Vision Of You
- 5+ years experience with purchasing within a technology or software company
- Extensive experience with program and project management especially with regards to software purchasing
- Strong understanding of ancillary costs in procurement, i.e. costs to maintain and fully utilize spend
- Excellent verbal and written communication, project management skills, and problem-solving skills
- Established track record of high ROI in developing and managing vendor relationships for strategic sourcing
- Experience with tools currently utilized by the team (e.g., Coupa, Concur, NetSuite, etc.) or can quickly adapt to them
- A high level of independence as demonstrated through clear problem-solving and communication skills and the delivery of high-quality work
- Strong ability to collaborate across organizations to influence and drive change
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms, including the ability to understand term and condition language
- Experience working in a compliance-driven environment
- Experience interacting with senior-level executives
