Partner with the best

As a Partner Account Manager, you will work in conjunction with our partners to sell Akamai services to new and existing customers. Working across multiple verticals and segments, you'll create and execute a business plan for success. You will work on pipeline development, business development, and strategic selling.

As a Partner Account Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating and managing a prospect sales pipeline with forecast accuracy of prospective customers in collaboration with your partners
  • Establishing relationships with regional partner teams through lead distribution, lead generation and sales enablement activities across the United States territory. Western US and Canada region
  • Creating alignment with partners and Akamai's customer sales development teams
  • Becoming a subject matter expert on Akamai propositions and products to effectively identify potential partnerships
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams of sales engineers, finance and product management to ensure successful consultative engagements with prospects

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Have ability travel to partner meetings and events as needed
  • Have proven successful sales track record and quota achievement in indirect sales roles
  • Have a proven ability to find new customers by leveraging partner relationships
  • Have outside Security Sales experience, preferably in support of System Integrators, consulting firms, or Cloud Service Providers
  • Possess excellent negotiation, solution-selling, presentation, verbal and written skills

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) for this position ranges from $100,245 - $155,288/year; a candidate’s OTE is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
