JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Digital Media Platforms, Asia Pacific, excluding China (APEC) will lead Marriott’s digital media efforts across key digital channels and platforms in the APEC region. They will be responsible for managing our mid-lower funnel digital media strategies and budgets, to deliver against Marriott’s core media objectives - growing our Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program and card partnerships, building brand preference for our hotel brands, and driving room bookings and F&B reservations.

This person will be tasked with developing a framework for on-going testing and optimization; across Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Online Travel Agents (OTAs), Affiliates and APP Downloads, to ensure maximum efficiency and value is driven from our digital investments. They be responsible for setting up best practices for digital planning and analysis, using a suite of tools and platforms, which include: Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, Adobe, Datarama, Tableau and Double Verify.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Media, APEC, this role will support the APEC Consumer Ops teams across Media, Loyalty, Area Marketing, Revenue, Distribution and B2B, to deliver on evolving business goals. They will also coordinate with our Global Media Team, Partner leads and our Marriott Digital Services team to share and implement learnings, initiatives, and best practices.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience
8-12 years of hands-on APAC Search Engine Marketing and digital platform experience; either as part of an in-house media team for MNC brand, or within a media agency.

Requirements on the Job

• Deep knowledge of digital media channels and tactics across the APAC region
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to run multiple projects independently
• Proficiency in managing and directing strategic agency, partner, and vendor relationships
• Ability to review and optimize media-related processes, to create efficiencies and extract maximum value from investments
• Experience in supporting and working with cross-functional teams, in support of specific business priorities
• Proven ability to take complex projects and initiatives from conception to successful execution
• A strategic problem solver who can think creatively, and satisfy speed-to-market requirements
• Comfortable working with associates/ vendors/ partners in both local and international markets (multiple time zones)
• Great communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders
• A comprehensive understanding of digital ad tracking, reporting and dashboard solutions
• Proficiency in reading, interpreting, developing and presenting media reports
• High attention to detail, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English, with other APAC languages a plus

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Work, Projects, and Policies

Media Planning

• Drive the performance and planning agenda for Marriott’s in-house teams, ensuring all media is driving towards key business goals
• Show thought leadership in both media strategy, KPI setting, and ad copy best practices
• Work across multiple fast paced projects in the region, whilst building relationships with multiple stakeholders
• Be a key POC for the Media agency (M1M), across all biddable and platform relation campaigns, projects and ad hoc matters
• Always be looking for new opportunities to maximize media efficiency and adapt to changing business dynamics
• Drive new agency initiatives such as digital media innovation, competitor insights and industry / vendor updates
• Support on troubleshooting, managing challenges and ad hoc projects

Partner Management

• Proactively participate in Global and APEC partnership management including but not limited to: Meta, Google and DoubleVerify
• Proactively meet new partners, and look for opportunities to drive innovation and media efficiencies
• Work with vendors to put together presentations to show case offerings to the wider business / teams
• Lean-in when there are issues with deliverables or service levels
• Support on sponsorship partnerships as and when needed
• Work hand in hand with Marriott’s legal team for any new contracts
