C.H. Robinson is looking to add a Distribution Manager to our Warehousing and Distribution team supporting our Managed Procurement Services (MPS) Supply Chain Management Unit. In this role you’ll play a crucial part in creating a cutting-edge distribution strategy for our valued C.H. Robinson customers. You will collaborate closely with Account Management and Sales teams to shape solutions and lead implementation by closely partnering with distribution teams, utilizing analytics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure precision in execution. Effective communication with customers, stakeholders, and partners will be paramount for achieving outstanding results. While we prefer candidates near our offices in Minnesota, Arizona, Philadelphia, or Florida, we also offer the option to work remotely. Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and implement a customer-centric distribution strategy, collaborating harmoniously with distribution teams to ensure flawless execution
• Offer strategic insights to Account Management and Sales teams, enriching customer solution design through your expertise

Driving Business Growth:

• Identify and establish novel distribution and supply partnerships in response to evolving customer needs
• Expand our distribution network by identifying and onboarding partners aligned with our strategic goals
• Harmonize customer needs with partner capabilities, optimizing supply chain alignment for exceptional outcomes
• Formulate compelling business cases for new value-added services, drawing insights from market and industry data

Precise Execution:

• Design a proactive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) strategy that mirrors industry trends
• Monitor the performance of Distribution Centers by tracking metrics and observing KPI trends
• Collaborate proactively with distribution and supply partners to elevate customer performance levels
• Stay attuned to industry trends, seamlessly integrating relevant metrics into our internal tools

Customer-Centric Approach:

• Artfully resolve escalated, intricate situations, demonstrating fairness and respect for all parties involved
• Lead impactful distribution strategy sessions, bridging the communication divide between customers and distributors
• Shine as a distribution expert during customer quarterly business reviews, contributing invaluable insights
• Cultivate resilient partner relationships, even when faced with challenges

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience
• At least 4 years of Food Service industry experience (distribution or concept role)
• Up to 25% domestic travel capability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Previous Food Service Produce experience
• Expert knowledge of distribution, supply chain, and industry best practices
• Organized self-starter with strong motivation and interpersonal skills
• Skilled in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and thriving in a fast-paced, global environment
• Strategic thinker with creative problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication, including with Senior Leadership
• Strong relationship-building skills across all levels
