DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

• Cultivate personalized customer relationships spanning various departments within the supply chain
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop solutions and expand the product, mode, and service pipeline
• Drive market share growth through a proactive opportunity pipeline, qualifying prospects in a CRM
• Conduct regular business reviews to identify growth opportunities, boost sales, and nurture existing customer relationships
• Stay updated on customer, industry, and sector changes and translate this knowledge into new business opportunities
• Analyze and communicate customer-specific insights, process requirements, and expectations to co-create viable supply chain solutions
• Employ effective negotiation and sales strategies when discussing pricing and solutions with customers
• Take ownership of successful account strategies, including RFP, proposal, and award management, aligning with customer buying habits and C.H. Robinson’s position within their supply chain
• Proactively manage customer pricing strategies, leveraging internal technology, tools, and subject matter experts
• Seek ongoing personal development to enhance understanding of C.H. Robinson's modes, services, and technology
• Collaborate with operations and capacity/product/supply teams to optimize execution and support customers

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of previous sales and/or account management experience
• Minimum 2 years of previous Parcel experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions
• Strong strategic orientation, relationship building, negotiation skills (ability to persuade, motivate and influence others), and business acumen
• Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results
• Strong prioritization skills, multi-tasking skills, and works with a sense of urgency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and employees
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
