As integral part of Hotjar, a Contentsquare company, creating Product Experience Insights software for digital product teams which help show how users behave and what they feel strongly about, so product teams can deliver real value, fast. You will be reporting to the Director of Finance and play a pivotal role in advancing financial processes and controls. One of the primary projects is IPO readiness, wherein you'll be instrumental in streamlining month-end process from 7 days to 2 days. This requires ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of monthly and annual reporting across all entities, reconciliations, tax returns, payroll, and more. As part of this journey, you will oversee a team of 2 finance accountants, fostering an inclusive work environment and ensuring Hotjar's continued financial excellence. In your day to day, you will: ● Oversee the consolidated monthly end numbers for all 9 entities, including Hotjar Malta as the primary trading entity and eight others, serving mainly employment functions. ● Conduct a detailed review of financial reconciliations, ensuring revenue recognition accuracy, verifying bank reconciliations, and ensuring clean balance sheets. ● Be the main contact for external audits for Hotjar Malta & Holdings, UK, and Ping Pong. Coordinate with our auditing firms, KPMG, Craufurd Hale, and BKL. ● Supervise the production of financial statements by local accountants for all entities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with our records. ● Oversee VAT returns and other statutory filings for all entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. ● Dive deep into our new billing system, Zuora, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and troubleshooting any issues. 🎯What you will bring: ● You are a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent), possessing the expertise to effectively manage financial processes. ● Proven experience in managing monthly close and management reporting processes for businesses with a revenue range of €10-50 million and subsidiaries in multiple countries. ● Familiarity with engaging with tax agents or authorities, including tasks like VAT registration and ongoing submission of returns. ● Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to approach challenges in a pragmatic manner. ● Initiative and capability to establish processes and reports by integrating data from various systems. ● Desire to work in a respectful, transparent, and collaborative environment, aligned with Hotjar's company values and culture. ● Must be willing to undergo a confidential background check processed by our third party.
