We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer - Azure to join our North America team in Austin, TX or Tacoma, WA, reporting to the director of DevOps. In this role, you will serve as a technical lead on the DevOps team to fully automate the provisioning, deployment, management, and monitoring for a rapidly evolving and highly scalable set of SaaS services. You will work with members of the DevOps team alongside a DevOps architect to ensure best practices are implemented across applications. You will also lead teams in the direction of initiatives such as CI/CD and enterprise monitoring, mentor junior team members, and guide more tactical automation projects.

What you’ll do:

• Manage the implementation of fully automated CI/CD patterns using Kubernetes, Spinnaker, and other Azure cloud technologies
• Lead the implementation of monitoring and management solutions for cloud-based products using a combination of commercial off-the-shelf and homegrown solutions
• Collaborate with application architects on standardized and scalable methods to manage logs, service elements, etc.
• Design and develop DevOps tools to reduce manual work, improve security, and reduce human error
• Build resilient and self-scaling systems that minimize customer impacts, while providing a healthy work environment for operators

What you’ll bring:

• 7+ years of experience with managing web services on Azure cloud
• Within Azure: Experience developing Azure org/account structures for an engineering organization, knowledge of Azure policies, managing Azure cloud services, such as scale sets, virtual machines, load balancers, blob storage, etc. Experience managing Kubernetes workloads on Azure, such as AKS and self-managed KOPS, and experience with Azure networking services like vnet, Azure gateways, UDRs, etc.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, like terraform or ARM
• Experience leading CI/CD pipelines development in Azure cloud environments
• Experience leading monitoring and management systems for enterprise SaaS products
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and alerting tools, including APM, Splunk, PagerDuty, Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure monitoring
• Experience with one or more programming languages, including C/C++, Python, Java, or Go
• Experience with Linux distributions, such as CentOS, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux
• Experience with configuration management, like Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and/or Salt
• Solid networking experience, including TCP/IP, routing, and DNS
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required

You can expect our employment offers to take many factors into consideration, including but not limited to the location of the role, internal equity, applicable past experience, individual skill set, education, and professional certifications. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned is the base salary range for the role. The typical base salary range for this position is $127,900 - $190,630 plus corporate bonus.
