Responsibilities

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics Development Network Coordinating Center (TDNCC) serves as a national coordinating center for a clinical trials network in Cystic Fibrosis. The TDNCC is part of Seattle Children’s Research Institute and has an opening for a project manager in the Scientific and Network Partnerships Unit to facilitate the development, execution, resolution of issues, communication, and completion of scientific TDNCC projects and programs. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for large sized scientific projects and initiatives, serve as primary liaison with industry partners managing relationships from initial contact through completion of deliverables, project manage TDN scientific review committees and review processes and coach staff in the coordination and administration of project related activities.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Manage TDN Scientific Review
• Work in collaboration with Principal Investigators and study teams to provide scientific and project management expertise to draft and/or edit grant applications, scientific presentations for internal and external audiences, book chapters, manuscripts, and graphics to enhance reporting and presentations
• Responsible for identifying published primary scientific manuscripts, review and understand manuscript methods and results, and write lay friendly results
• Support leadership in managing industry sponsor interactions
• Partner with leadership to develop plans for key scientific projects, programs and initiatives to support operations

Requirements

Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Sciences (e.g. Biology, Medical Sciences, Molecular Biology or related field) and a minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in an academic or scientific environment

OR
- Master's degree in Sciences (e.g. Biology, Medical Sciences, Molecular Biology or related field) and a minimum of three (3) years of project management experience in an academic or scientific environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated scientific writing ability
Preferred:
- Advanced Degree, preferably a Ph.D., in a related scientific field.
- Demonstrated successful experience leading programs and projects in an organizational setting.

Min to Max Hourly Salary

$43.17 - $64.75 /hr

Min to Max Annual Salary

$89,793.60 - $134,680.00 /yr

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children’s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
