Description:The Heavy Vehicle Operator will support Transportation and Logistics material handling both on and off-site at the Waterton Facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Operate tractors/trailers and light vehicle equipment to transport scheduled material, tools, and equipment (may operate other vehicles when not operating semi-trucks).
- Operates tractor-trailer equipment to transport a wide variety of parts, material, equipment, tools, components, and assembled products between various facilities including test site and to customer, sub-contractor and vendor locations.
- Travels on all types of roads and may be required to make overnight trips.
- Receives written or oral instructions, plans most efficient and safest manner of arranging load, and determines best route from starting point to destination. - Assists in the loading and unloading of trailer and makes certain load is secure.
- Operates vehicle during the trip observing all traffic and CFR 49 safety regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Class A CDL with the capability to drive an automatic and manual transmission.
- Clean driving record.
- Material handling experience.
- Experience with a variety of load securement methods.
- Knowledge and compliance with 49 CFR and FMCSR.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Ability to obtain and maintain certifications.
Desired Skills:
- Active security clearance.
- Haz-Mat endorsement.
- Bus License certification.
- Pilot Car escort certification.
- Forklift operator experience
- Heavy vehicle operator experience.
- Experience with a variety of trailer types.
- Experience transporting oversize loads.
- Over the road / team drive experience
- Experience with electronic logs.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $39520.00 - $72820.00 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
