For our European Ocean Freight product in Hamburg, we are currently seeking an LCL Procurement Manager Europe to start as soon as possible.

The LCL Ocean Freight product at C.H. Robinson in Europe and globally operates in a gateway structure. Our main focus is on the continuous development and expansion of our own groupage container services. The Hamburg location serves as a central gateway for all of Europe at C.H. Robinson, and our team of 15 oversees and manages the entire process of worldwide groupage container planning in Europe. As an LCL Procurement Manager, you will work closely with the Gateway Manager Europe and play a crucial role in coordinating and managing these processes. You will report directly to the Senior Manager LCL Europe, and your work will significantly contribute to the team's success.

Your responsibilities:

• Analyzing data and deriving pricing and procurement strategies
• Creating reports
• Developing groupage container calculations
• Developing and improving C.H. Robinson's own groupage containers in import and export
• Rate purchasing of LCL ocean freight from NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers) and negotiating warehouse contracts with external service providers throughout Europe
• Regular meetings with external service providers in the LCL Ocean sector
• Allocation management and FCL (Full Container Load) consolidation pricing in collaboration with the CHR FCL Product Team Europe
• Collaboration with the Trade Lane Development and support in pricing and procurement
• Sales support in terms of acquiring new business, including potential joint customer visits
• Support for the European RFQ (Request for Quotation) team in LCL tendering
• Maintenance of rates in our global pricing tools
• Collaboration with the European Marketing Team for LCL sales campaigns
• Concept development in the area of buyer's consolidation

Your profile:

• Successfully completed commercial education/training
• 5+ years of professional experience in the field of LCL Ocean Consolidation/Pricing & Procurement/Sales
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Good knowledge of Word and Excel
• Communication skills
• Customer orientation and quality consciousness
• Teamwork
• Decision-making ability and willingness to take risks
• Willingness to travel
