Responsibilities:

    • Employee Relations & HR Compliance:
    • Act as a trusted advisor and partner to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
    • Manage the entire employee relations lifecycle, including handling harassment and discrimination complaints. This involves establishing investigation plans, conducting investigations, recommending resolutions, and collaborating with the Legal Team for implementation.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Develop, review, and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
    • Analyze employee relations trends, metrics, and data to identify areas of improvement and make proactive recommendations to enhance the employee experience.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment-related laws and regulations.
    • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping practices are followed to maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Collaborate with the legal team to address complex compliance issues and mitigate legal risks. Provide training and education to employees and managers on HR compliance topics, including anti-discrimination, harassment prevention, and data privacy.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Legal, Finance, and IT, to ensure HR processes and systems comply with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Talent Strategy:
    • Execution of the talent strategy and ensure the planning aligns with short- and long-term business strategy.
    • Use knowledge of business growth drivers to address short-term and long-term talent and change management needs.
    • Employee Experience:
    • Manage employee surveys and conduct exit interviews.
    • Identify feedback trends, analyze data, present key findings, and develop a plan to improve gaps. Lead discussions to resolve employee issues.
    • Build trusted relationships with leaders and their teams to ensure that business needs are considered in developing HR initiatives and that HR Standards and Procedures are fully understood and implemented within the support area.
    • Employee & Leadership Development:
    • Integrate career development into the broader talent management framework.
    • Support leaders in goal setting, performance management, promotion, and compensation review processes.
    • Coach managers to encourage higher performance and people development across their teams. Leverage internal learning tools and resources as development opportunities for the team.
    • DEI: Increase cultural awareness, support diversity goals, increase business impact, and increase employees’ sense of community.

What it takes to be successful:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
    • 5+ years of experience in the HR Business Partner role or Employee Relations role with at least one year handling complex employee relations issues
    • Experience in scaling companies during the growth stage
    • Strong business acumen with a background in driving HR policies, processes, and initiatives
    • Strong knowledge of principles & practices of HR, including employment law & compliance requirements
    • Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and challenging issues, providing recommendations for effective problem resolution.
    • Customer service attitude and a focus on providing excellent support to internal employees
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and practical verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to set high personal goals and work independently
    • Tech-savvy and familiar with HRIS and performance management systems
    • Cooperative and collaborative working style
