We are expanding our team to take on this challenge! About the Role Rocket Lawyer is looking for an analytical, collaborative and driven HR Lead. They will be instrumental in planning, supporting and executing HR initiatives for Rocket Lawyer in Brazil. You will be responsible for development and administration of all Human Resources functions including support for our recruiting team for our office in Brazil. The People Operations function at Rocket Lawyer is committed to producing high quality innovative solutions that assist the management of our Talent. This includes but is not limited to, full HR life cycle transactions, performance management, compensation and benefits practices, and culture initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Brazil as the first People Operations Lead, with a chance to have a significant impact on building our Latin American team and operations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Partner/collaborate with our leadership team to align and execute HR strategies in support of business objectives.
• Partner with our global PeopleOps team on initiatives, such as performance management, events and recruiting (including interview scheduling and candidate management)
• Manage and own the entire employee life cycle for Brazil
• Provide advice, support and coaching to employees regarding HR policies and procedures
• Champion company culture and enforce team spirit by supporting Company and team events and outings
• Partner with People Operations leadership on administration of performance management process, including goal setting and performance assessment, feedback and training processes
• Oversee and monitor adherence to HR policies, procedures and practices
• Oversee payroll process, ensuring consistency and accuracy
• Evaluate and oversee administration of benefit programs and recommend improvement
• Investigate, resolve and/or coordinate grievances, workplace disputes, harassments or ethics violation and disputes, in partnership with People Operations leadership
• Ensure company stays in compliance with all HR related Government regulations and guidelines.

Skills & Qualifications

• Qualified candidates will have relevant successful experience in HR and have a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Fluent level of verbal and written communication in English and Portuguese
• Team player with a collaborative leadership style and a proven ability to build, mentor and retain quality employees in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to work autonomously.
• Candidate must possess a strong work ethic and a high energy, hands-on management style
• Proven ability to work cross functionally and effectively throughout various levels of the organization structure
• Up to date knowledge of employment law and regulations.
• Ability to negotiate and manage dispute resolution processes. Experience in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures
• Knowledge of information systems used in human resources applications.
• Experience with HRIS systems, specifically BambooHR and Lever
• Ability to motivate teams to produce high quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
• Senior level communication and presentation skills
