Purpose: As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and developing software solutions for Fanatics’ Automated & Robotics Fulfillment Centers. You will work on analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving complex problems in relation to our Supply Chain Technology functions (WMS/WES, Goods to person (AMRs/AGV/ASRS), WCS & PLC systems) within our Aberdeen, MD facility. You will work on the development, testing & deployment of new features and enhancements for Inbound &Outbound processes within our Fulfillment Center. You will lead the relationship with our Operations partners in our facility and help enhance warehouse processes and support day-to-day activities. This position is based on-site in our Aberdeen, MD fulfillment center.

Qualifications:

    • 5-7 years of knowledge & experience in supporting Supply Chain & Warehouse Automation business processes, including Receiving, Putaway, Picking, Packing, Sortation etc.
    • Proven experience integrating, supporting and managing AGV / AMR robotics technologies & vehicle fleets and/or experience in other automated, programmable Goods-to-Person systems
    • 5+ years of onsite support experience with WMS/WES, Goods to person (AMRs/AGV/ASRS), WCS & PLC systems in an eCommerce Fulfillment Center environment
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience in any programming language such as C++, C#/Java Golang is preferred
    • Strong experience using SQL
    • Strong functional, analytical & troubleshooting skills, including demonstrated ability to use data analysis and testing to uncover opportunities
    • Experience troubleshooting a variety of other automated warehouse solutions, such as Automated Put Walls
    • Familiarity with PLC and integrations to Warehouse Conveyance systems (pick/put to light, conveyance, unit and shipping sortation, and goods to person/AMR/ASRS)
    • Familiarity with Supply Chain KPIs and performance metrics
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the relationship between operations partners within the fulfillment site/facility
    • Responsible for participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle: design, development, testing and deployment of critical applications
    • Support software solutions for managing goods movement and fulfillment within our facility–both Inbound and Outbound
    • Lead the site coverage, own reliability/uptime of the systems needed to run our fulfillment centers
    • Troubleshoot, analyze, and root cause production issues in both software and across technology within the facility and provide permanent solutions
    • Define, Create, and Execute development stories that are scoped appropriately for iterative deliverables against timeline targets in the product roadmap
    • On-site support for system, including on-call rotation and night shifts during peak season
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills and able to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical resources alike
    • Demonstrate continuous improvement, never solve the same problem twice
    • Collaborate with Supply Chain Tech engineering teams & product management in delivering software and user training
    • Ensure design/solutions deliver measurable data to track their ROI
