JOB SUMMARY The Manager, Design – Creative Services supports the department by providing creative, design-centered input on corporate, brand identity and property design-related projects for EDITION Hotels. Responsibilities will range from graphic design and branding communication to research, process development and ideation/co-creation site management. In addition, the Manager will be responsible for ensuring pull through of relevant work streams, proof-of-concepts, platforms and initiatives; developing and implementing creative processes based on executive level and property needs, and anticipatory demand opportunities.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience Required
- 3+ years of projects support experience
- Creative and design experience and knowledge.
- Experience communicating; listening and counseling stakeholders on best approach, including what non-value add efforts to drop.
- Experience in trend tracking, is an active social media user, comfortable with technology.
- Fluency in more than one business software package, primarily, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma, PowerPoint
- Mac user
Education and Experience Preferred
- 4-year degree from an accredited university

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Develop & design creative executions for all property and brand related projects
- Generates and researches new concepts and ideas
- Creates designs and layout for print and digital advertising concepts, signage and collateral, including logo design, type treatments and photo editing
- Creates presentations for brand, corporate and property teams
- Reviews all work for errors/omissions prior to turning in work for project manager approval
- Works on all production requirements for collateral designs including selection of papers, inks and any and all outside sources/purchases needed to fulfill production of each project
- Effectively communicates production specs, deadlines & design details for all projects
- Effectively aids in identification of and collaboration with all departments necessary for successful design execution
Identify needs within work stream opportunities
- Manages project specific campaigns as requested where associate input is deemed useful for ideation
- Completes all design/computer layout/artwork assigned by the required deadline
- Manages department ideation and co-creation opportunities by providing critical evaluations to Marketing Managers on property
- Oversees upkeep of file organization
Additional Key Contributions
- Incorporates relevant graphic design trends, software, and multi-media platforms to deliver best in class design innovation
- Where applicable, manages outside consultants alongside project leads
- Produces and composes internal and external communication related to various feedback channels
- Processes data related to the administration of the program(s)/project(s) following predetermined procedures
- Provides design communication leadership and acts as a subject matter expert for department
- Identifies promotional opportunities to drive department awareness and elevates adoption of innovation as a process
- Assumes leadership role as requested by immediate supervisor on ad hoc opportunities and on special projects
- Helps build a creative resources database by finding new creative talent as needed
- Prepares layout comps for brochures, mailers and intricate collateral designs
- Builds and maintains critical relationships
The salary range for this position is $74,550.00 to $131,705.00 annually. This position offers health care benefits, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, disability coverage, other life and work wellness benefits and may include incentive compensation.
