THE ROLE: The Business Development Manager will contribute to the development and growth of our Oil & Gas pipeline integrity, assessment, inspection and monitoring solutions within Canada. Some direct project management and fieldwork could be required, but the primary focus will be business development and account management. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Develop and grow CP, AC mitigation, and Close Interval Survey work
  • Work directly with clients to understand and meet their expectations and generate opportunities
  • Prepare and facilitate presentations as needed (clients, conferences, sales)
  • Prepare project estimates and proposals
  • Assist with pricing and technical strategies for key accounts
  • Attend conferences and trade shows
  • Work with the technical team (project managers, engineers, etc.) on proposal development as needed
  • Manage and update CRM (SalesForce)
  • Work with BD colleagues to understand full PureHM service outside of required core expertise (CP/XLI) to ensure ability to speak knowledgably on the subject of pipeline integrity, leak detection, geohazard assessment, and pig tracking
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organization needs

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Technical school degree or diploma in Engineering or Environmental Services, or mixture of related education and experience
  • 3+ years of technical experience in the cathodic protection/pipeline industry or 3+ years of relevant technical sales experience (industrial field, mining, etc.) or a combination of both.
  • Experience in developing and growing CP, AC mitigation, and Close Interval Survey work is an asset
  • Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract

DAY IN THE LIFE :

In this role, the working environment is usually performed in an office setting with standard office equipment. Remote work options are available. In addition, you must be able to travel up to 40% (proposal visits, client meetings, conferences, etc).
