Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for validating product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code base. Focuses on writing code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency. Develops and maintains code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and programming languages. Partners with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices. Works with engineering team to deliver automated tests that satisfy product automation requirements. Executes automated code and creates written summary test reports for team. Repair intermediate complexity broken automation scripts. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

• As part of the day-to-day responsibilities, you will work to the CCP Test Strategy and follow Team Processes including (Analysis, Planning, Development, Delivery, Execution, Triage, Maintenance, End of Life.
• Perform different levels of testing, e.g. Functional/ Regression/ Integration/End to End.
• Work with BA’s, Development and Test Teams, ensuring full E2E functional test coverage and Perform test triage using your skills and report findings.
• Understand the use of the different test environments.
• Understand how the main platform components link together.
• Understand the test route through the environments to Production.
• Design and script basic and complex tests and define Test Data requirements.

Required Experience and Skills :

• Experience executing tests using test tools, such as Postman, PLSQL and Zephyr Scale.
• Experience of a defect management tool, e.g. Jira/QC.
• Experience of SQL and Unix.
• Knowledge of Test Strategies and frameworks.
• Awareness of automation tools e.g. Java/Selenium/Cucumber/REST API/Maven/IntelliJ/GIT/Empirix/CICD tools.
• Awareness of key OOP principles and how to apply them to test development.
• Knowledge and Understanding of Agile principles and Scrum process.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
