Job Description

Senior Manager, Product Manager is a strategic and encompassing role that leads the product management team, providing overall product vision, product market strategies, and team leadership. You will be unifying force behind the company's IDS/IPS Firewall product strategy and execution, combining feedback from sales, marketing, development, architecture, customers and prospects to set the strategic vision and lead the execution on new features and products.

What You'll Do

Senior Manager, Product Manager is responsible for balancing company goals with long-term market trends and opportunities. In close cooperation with Sales, you will drive the company's IDS/IPS Firewall business in an effort to meet and exceed bookings targets.

• Formulate Cisco’s IDS/IPS Firewall product and market strategies and drives their implementation.
• Responsible for driving a roadmap that balances cost-velocity-quality such that customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and the BU's business and financial goals are met.
• Evangelizes the BU's products and solutions reinforcing industry leadership in terms of product and market share.
• Creates and handles the overall product management process and oversees its effective execution.
• In close coordination with other functions, this role drives the enablement of field sales and services teams such that sales and deployment of IDS/IPS Firewall products and solutions meet and exceed customer expectations.
• It also requires close coordination and partnership with Cisco Services to enable simplified deployment strategies that require less on-the-fly product customization.
• Will spearhead initiatives to work across BU's on pricing/licensing combined offers that help Cisco to differentiate and move toward software-based solution offers while incentivizing increased sales.
• Lead technological and business innovation with practical solutions that solve real customer problems creating sustainable software and services-based business for the company.

Who You Are

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in the high-tech industry
• 2+ years of experience in the delivery of cloud based technical products.
• Bachelors’ degree is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical and critical thinker with the ability to solve sophisticated problems
• Experience leading teams and defining strategies to achieve successful results within desired timeframes.
• Excellent communication skills - extensive experience with presenting data-supported business cases to top executives
• Can-do attitude, ability to quickly get up to speed with complex new topic areas, and capable of driving insight to tangible action plans
• Strong project management skills, including ability to think-end-to-end and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
