Position summary

As an Implementation Project Consultant, you will be responsible for managing the technical integration and system setup for Implementation projects from conception to Go Live & support (sales to operations). In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to onboard new business, support projects for our valued existing customers, and provide guidance to your colleagues based on your expertise. Daily tasks will focus on the documentation of customer requirements, regularly coordinate with the Project Manager, collaborate with Technology resources to electronically integrate customer systems, configure systems, and aid in the communication of project progress.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the technical liaison between the customer project team (including the customer’s Technology function) and internal Development Team resources
• Technical setup of TMC internal system/software
• Facilitate project meetings with internal and external project teams
• Successfully execute the Process Transformation Methodology, including:
• Support documentation of customer expectations based on the signed contractual agreement
• Capture the current processes of the customer
• Lead Future State solution design based on customer requirements
• Create process maps outlining integration
• Clearly translate customer business requirements to technical requirements for internal technology teams
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to increase productivity for all constituents (customer, carrier, supplier, customer’s clients, and CHR)
• Develop a testing plan with the customer and execute to the plan
• ​Develop SOP’s and training materials, as well as conduct training on internal websites, vendor, and carrier portals
• Contribute toward development of tools, methodologies, and presentations for Implementation
• Successfully transfer knowledge to customer account team as documented throughout project lifecycle
• Provide support as necessary to Business Development Team

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• A minimum of 2 years of technical project management experience
• Prior experience working directly with customers, vendors, or carriers, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills to understand their needs and provide solutions.
• Previous experience with TMS software
• Flexible hours (some weekend/late hours may be required)
• Up to 20% travel may be required (domestic and/or international)
• Background in the Logistics/Supply Chain sector

Preferred:

• Relationship management, presentation, discussion, documentation, and accountability
• Working knowledge and experience in solution design and technical integrations and broadens capabilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop and deliver presentations for internal and external audiences at all levels
• Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts internally and externally at all levels
• Solves problems and analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents
• Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations
