As a Validation Technician, you will be responsible for laboratory-based tasks, which include building and modifying prototypes, building test set-ups, perform testing and analyzing results. You will also provide all the required technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively while following correct procedures and health and safety guidelines. With the team, you will be supporting Eaton’s internal R&D Engineering organization with technical requests. You will work within our world class Engineering Team in Espoo Site and in close collaboration with different stakeholders (R&D, Service and Manufacturing).

You will from your part ensure that required EHS, quality and validation goals are met.

Job Responsibilities

  • Building of test setups, testing these systems and documenting the test results.
  • Building / maintaining test equipment and laboratory infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support to other functions.
  • Overseeing safety and condition of laboratory equipment.
  • Follow requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 2005 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories).
Qualifications

Qualifications

Experience in electrical product testing, electrical installations or similar. Required amount of experience depends on type of experience and education.

Qualifications

  • Electrician, Technician or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronic product electrical testing, electrical installations or similar.
  • Familiar with common tools and methods to work in electrical laboratory environment, e.g. oscilloscope, power analyzer and other meters for measuring performance of electronic products.
  • Self-motivated, self-managed, team-oriented, proactive, task oriented, and able to overcome obstacles to meet schedule requirements.
  • Fluency in English.
