Role:

The Director, People Technology - Workday will lead a dedicated team of HRIS professionals. You will drive significant system and technology transformation across the People organization and integrate with the business. Your responsibilities will start with building out the vision and strategy and implementation plan to support the employee experience for Workday HCM and Payroll. The successful candidate will have strong product management, client services and technical capabilities as well as being obsessed with building Workday and integrated systems that our employees and managers can use to improve critical people-related activities.

Accountability will include Workday configuration, application delivery & ownership, integration and vendor management. With inspiring leadership, you will amplify the impact of the team on the employee and manager experience through the expansion and improvement of offerings. Strong partnerships within the People Organization (Shared Services, Compensation, Benefits, etc.) and across critical business functions including IT, Payroll and Legal are imperative for success.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to create, build, and implement effective, efficient, and consistent operational processes which are global and able to scale in a high growth environment. Advance a continuous process improvement mindset leveraging technology and ensuring optimal utilization of all resources.
  • Develop and manage a Workday roadmap for system and tool usage in alignment with the business growth. This will include managing the Workday release cycle as well as internal needs assessment and design with new program development.
  • Deep technical expertise of Workday HCM and Payroll and the ability to roll up sleeves to drive system updates, configurations to maximize system capabilities and infrastructure while managing vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements; understanding and expertise in working with Workday and their service offerings.
  • Ability to craft a future state vision and roadmap and bring team and stakeholders along.
  • Expert in technical know-how, and multi-functional collaboration. Ability to work with all levels across the organization. Exceptional execution skills.
Requirements:
  • You have 10+ years of related experience in technology, systems, and tools. With 3+ years of experience in a leadership role with Workday system delivery responsibilities.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in high tech.
  • Hands on experience with Workday HCM and Payroll, other People technologies, and familiarity with the latest trends, including experience in technology implementations and integrations.

Note: Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $190,400.00 - 261,800.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $172,800.00 - 237,600.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $156,800.00 - 215,600.00 per year
