Our Value Engineering organization is growing and actively seeking a Senior Value Engineer to join the team. In this role you will support our sales organization in leading efforts to connect the Snowflake Data Cloud to customers business objectives through value based, industry-centric messaging.

Reporting to our Managing Principal of Value Engineering, you will assist in standardizing our value-based solution proposition, integrating this into our selling strategy.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:

  • Execute all value-based activities in the sales cycle to drive customer consumption and remain engaged with cu​​stomers ensuring successful value realization through their Snowflake journey
  • Research select customers and prospects businesses (via 10k's, etc.) and build value propositions highlighting the quantitative and qualitative impact Snowflake can make to their business as well as develop lookback value realization studies showcasing the business outcomes enabled by Snowflake
  • Drive business value discovery workshops with CXO, BU leads and practitioners and present deliverables to customer senior management
  • Lead and support thought leadership projects across Snowflake (e.g. initiatives in coordination with marketing, engineering, finance, etc.)
  • Support the development of new value assets, tools and collateral, helping develop the practice
  • Educate Snowflake sales teams on value engineering best practices to improve value-based selling

Below is the typical experience and background we are seeking, but if you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications, you should still seriously consider applying.

  • 7+ years of experience in value engineering, management consulting, financial/investment analysis and/or other applicable roles
  • Deep financial analysis and modeling of ROI concepts to justify business cases.
  • Deep knowledge of & ability to demonstrate practical use of key financial metrics such as NPV, payback, etc.
  • Experience with enterprise cloud economics and understanding of enterprise data management concepts (Data Governance, Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Sharing, Data Applications)
  • Strong verbal and written communication of qualitative and quantitative business cases
  • Must be self-managed, responsive and dedicated to customer success

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $118,000 - $180,500.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
