Job Summary

The Cable HQ Financial Strategy & Analytics team is seeking a highly motivated, analytical thinker who will be a key contributor for a variety of financial and subscriber analyses used to inform headquarters/division leadership and help shape future Cable strategy. The team is a collaborative group of innovative thinkers, and is looking for someone eager to jump in and add value in this fast-paced, high-exposure role. Responsible for a variety of complex economic evaluation and planning duties to support corporate planning and quality control of justification for capital expenditures. Provides financial analysis support to department managers. Participate in special projects, preparing financial data as necessary. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and report on-going and ad-hoc requests using different tools and applications including Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in one or more data subject areas such as competitive footprint, new connects/base management, and financial data.
  • Participates in defining business intelligence requirements for projects and data requests.
  • Analyzes data and coordinates with multiple business units to identify and understand drivers of financial and business trends.
  • Communicates and presents on-going metrics, monthly results, and ad-hoc projects to finance and business leaders.
  • Creates actionable insight and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address business objectives.
  • Serves as a team leader within a work group or on cross-functional teams; accepts team lead stretch assignments. Leads discussions and presentations of results, recommendations, and business insights to broader senior leadership team.
  • Assists in the development of strategic plans for existing, new, or proposed business operations.
  • Provides analysis and evaluation of cost/expense problems and profit improvement opportunities existing within current business activities.
  • Recommends changes in analysis and budgetary methods and procedures; analyzes the impact of various corporate projects and transactions.
  • Analyzes and communicates weekly metrics, monthly results, quarterly and annual projections.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
