It is preferred that candidates reside within commuting distance to a Fanatics in-venue retail location.* OB SUMMARY: This position will report directly into the SVP, Retail Operations and will oversee the operation, taking primary responsibility for overall operational excellence including profitability, strategic planning, talent development and engagement for their region. The Senior Director will set the example for their teams and create a selling culture within their region that ensures financial success. GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Conceptualize and drive operational excellence by enacting strategic plans inclusive of P&L management aimed at driving sales and controlling cost while conveying the strategic operational vision, focus, and work priorities for their region •Collaborate with both internal and external Business Partners including planning, merchandising, buying and Senior Executive Strategic Retail Leadership Team to create strategies for their region •Empower team to analyze opportunities, present recommendations, and understand the impact decisions have on the region and organization •Ensure retail standards for merchandising and operations are consistent throughout the Region •Act as an ambassador for the Fanatics’ organization, demonstrate integrity and trust with all relationships •Oversee and/or resolve conflict by partnering with appropriate business partners to ensure fair and constructive solutions •Recruit and build a strong team while driving a culture of high performance and engagement that translates into a best-in-class fan experience of District Managers and General Managers •Hold teams accountable and create developmental assignments for high potential employees in collaboration with HRBPs and Learning & Development Team; recommend a succession plan for employees to Human Resources and Senior Strategic Retail Leadership Team •Incorporates Fanatics Values in teams’ everyday work EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS: •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred, not required •Minimum 10 years of retail experience with 5 plus years of retail management experience •Highest level of integrity and ethics, both professional and personal •Experience managing a leadership team of employees located across the country •Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and retail point of sales systems •Travel as required to In-Venue Retail sites, hot markets and other business needs as assigned JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: •Proven ability to identify key business metrics and collaborate with cross functional partners to develop appropriate plans to drive results •Proficiency in understanding the fan base to ensure actions taken are in support of maximizing the needs of the marketplace •Established experience with retail finance, including multiple P&L management •Proficient superior communication and problem-solving skills, collaborative with strong influencing and interpersonal skills •Proven ability to lead operational excellence across multi units •Proven ability to work independently while still adhering to company/departmental standards •Demonstrate an established ability to provide clear direction to achieve goals and develop strategic initiatives for all leaders while offering support and follow up as necessary •Experience managing employee relations in partnership with human resources to comply with company policies, state and/or local laws and union activity if applicable •Demonstrate an established ability to create an inclusive environment that fosters development of others; supports constructive conflict resolution PHYSICAL DEMANDS: •Regularly required to sit stand, reach, bend and move about the facility as needed •Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. •Ability to travel up to 50% of the work week.
