This is an exciting opportunity in REI’s Supply Chain Systems team to work with a strong team of technology specialists in designing, developing, and supporting software applications that power REI’s distribution centers. As the Senior Business Systems Analyst, Supply Chain Systems, you will ensure the alignment of the Supply Chain team’s business strategy to the planning and execution of technology projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Supply Chain business and Technology teams to ensure business needs and requirements are understood, valued, prioritized and communicated for demand requests and projects
  • Document and analyze existing business processes and design new business processes; understand gaps and develop transition plans for new business processes
  • Manage the business requirements process for technology projects by facilitating, gathering, documenting, validating, prioritizing, and establishing baseline business requirements for demand requests in the Supply Chain domain
  • Work with technical team members to transform and develop new requirements into design and implementation components
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose high-level information into details
  • Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
  • Develop, support, and advocate for creation of business cases for demand requests
  • Contribute to financial and business value analysis
  • Ensure testability and traceability of requirements
  • Provide deployment support
  • Lead the team in continuous improvement
  • May perform other ancillary duties as assigned, including but not limited to work such as: coordination of end-user testing, troubleshooting, business consultation, training, and organizational change management
Bring your passion and expertise Required skills and experience
  • 3+ years direct work experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Business Analyst on large scale programs or portfolios
  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain business and systems processes, and an ability to understand and explain issues from both a technical and a business functional point of view
  • Experience with warehouse/distribution operations and logistics processes
  • Able to troubleshoot system problems from a functionality perspective, especially when supporting end-user testing and training
  • Exceptional verbal & written communications, teaching, facilitation & negotiation, leadership & influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability in the facilitation, identification, validation, documentation, prioritization, and management of business requirements
  • Demonstrated proficiency in business analysis tools, such as use cases, data modeling, process modeling, context diagrams, systems diagrams, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflict
  • Ability to conceptualize and recommend solutions to business problems
  • Ability to travel to up to 10% (visiting each one of our three distribution centers once a year as needed)
Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business management, or related field, or equivalent training and experience
  • Previous experience in multi-channel retail environment
  • Experience working with Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management (WM)
  • Experience working with peripheral supply chain management applications, such as labor management systems or transportation management systems

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, REI provides a range of compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location or other relevant factors. The pay for this role is: $83700 - $134000 per year .
