About the Role Rocket Lawyer is seeking an experienced, passionate Full-stack Engineer who wants to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a talented agile team. As part of a cross-functional team consisting of a product manager, designer, and 4-6 software engineers and QA analysts, you will be an active partner in the design, coding, unit testing, and release of new features and enhancements for our growing customer base. A Day in the Life

• Participate in UI design, technical design and code reviews
• Groom and provide technical scope for stories and epics in 2-week sprints
• Write high quality, performant, reusable code at across both FE and BE components
• Write unit and integration tests that demonstrate that the code meets acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with other team members to incrementally deliver value to customers

Experience

• Working knowledge of modern JavaScript technologies such as Angular, React, and Typescript
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS/LESS/SASS
• Experience developing responsive interfaces for web and mobile.
• Working knowledge of Java and OO design and principles
• Working knowledge of backend technologies like Sprint Boot, REST-based API development
• Experience with performance debugging, benchmarking, and best practices
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and JUnit
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• 3+ years of experience building web applications
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of web architecture and the HTTP protocol.
• Experience with MVC development
• Knowledge of caching strategies
• Knowledge of cloud development
• Familiarity with Jenkins and CI/CD environments
• Knowledge of Kubernetes
• Experience developing internationalized software
