Job Description

The Acoustic Engineer Intern is responsible for assisting the team with the development of new technologies and competitive benchmarking. This will consist of designing and building prototypes, collecting data through a wide range of acoustic measurements, and processing this data into a presentable format to be shared with other internal parties.

  • Design and Build Prototypes
  • Perform Acoustic Measurements and Tests
  • Data Acquisition & Processing
  • Generate and Share-Out Presentations

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • Project experience in MATLAB
  • Acoustical data acquisition
  • Understanding of basic signal processing concepts
  • Computer Proficiency; Google Suite, Zoom, basic programming skills (preferred)
  • Professional Communication
  • Time Management and Organization skills

In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

  • Audio Precision analyzers
  • Rapid Prototyping (CAD, soldering, shop tools, etc.)

Education:

  • Studying/Background in Acoustics, Physics, or a related Engineering field

This position offers an hourly rate typically between $27.00 hourly- $40.00 hourly commensurate to the level of degree program in which an applicant is actively enrolled.
